What is a “quirky kid”?

A quirky kid is a child who has some combination of social, executive function (including emotional regulation), sensory, and attention challenges. These kids wind up with a range of diagnoses — typically high functioning autism, PDD-NOS, Asperger’s, ADD/ADHD, non-verbal learning disability, or sensory integration dysfunction… or no diagnosis at all (just quirky).
